Snapbox Productions Feel The X-Factor Effect!
While we’re used to hearing stories of boosted profiles, tabloid gossip, and increased song sales in relation to X-Factor, it’s not just the contestants, and the songs they perform, that benefit from exposure on TV’s biggest talent platform.
Snapbox Productions was formed in 2009 to facilitate the filming of two videos by acoustic/rock act Seven Summers, which featured X-Factor’s Matt Cardle. While Matt has been singing for your votes each weekend, the Snapbox produced video for the track ‘Way To Be’ by Seven Summers, has seen its views on Youtube rocket past the hundred thousand mark. The X-Factor effect has also seen the video feature extensively on blogs, websites, and online versions of some of the country’s biggest media outlets.
All good exposure for a company that found their original niche in music video production in London and the South East, but the Snapbox Productions story doesn’t end there.
The core Snapbox team of Christian Kay and Nick Buer, along with their assistants, can offer a bespoke service for promo’s, short films, documentaries and show reels. This includes filming, editing using Final Cut Studio (for all the technical people), and adding graphics/sound to the finished project, using programs such as Pro Tools Suites. Best described as a one-stop shop for video production, it can cater for a diverse range of projects.
The Snapbox team have recently been working on a number of commissions for Chelmsford Borough Council, including graphics for an Open Air Cinema event, a promo video of the popular Fling Festival, and more recently filming the random delights of Street Diversions 2010.
